A holiday sketcher for years, I came to ‘proper painting’ in later life. Apart from some tuition in calligraphy, I have no formal art training. So I am largely self-taught, learning from the words, wisdom and works of various artists, including fellow club members.

My chosen medium is watercolour, with pen and wash when out sketching. Subjects come from wherever I happen to be in town and country, at home or abroad.
